(A flagship initiative under the Adhvait Envision Project)
As part of our commitment to holistic rural development, the Adhvait India Foundation has launched its first Telemedicine Centre at Sonahatu, Ranchi, under the Adhvait Envision Project — beginning with a focus on ophthalmology (eye care).
In a region where access to specialist healthcare remains a challenge, this centre brings the expertise of qualified ophthalmologists to the doorstep of tribal and remote communities through digital consultation and diagnosis.
Eye health is often neglected in rural areas due to limited awareness and a lack of nearby facilities. Early detection of common vision problems can prevent avoidable blindness and improve the quality of life, especially for school-going children, farmers, and the elderly.
The telemedicine centre is operated by trained health workers, supported by basic diagnostic tools and a reliable internet setup. It serves as a hub for digital eye care, ensuring timely and affordable interventions that reduce the burden on tertiary hospitals and prevent long-term disabilities.
Adhvait Envision believes that a clear vision is the first step toward a brighter future. With this initiative, we are opening eyes, minds, and possibilities — one patient at a time.
